I purchased a Castile insert in December of '11. Have had it worked on twice by the company that sold it. Now that warranty is up, I have repaired it twice. For $4K, I expect something to be free of repair for several years. Snap discs, control boxes, vacuum switches have all given me problems. Pretty easy to work on with little mechanical background but I should not have to. When working, produces enough heat to supplement the home. On High, it is very loud but throws the heat. On low, I use one bag per day. On High, nearly two bags. Overall, I like the stove but cannot use it for the only source of heat. Beats splitting firewood, but that time saved is spent on cleaning and repairing this unit. Trying to give a fair evaluation here but you may be disappointed if you buy one of these. I would consider the Harman Accentra as a better choice.
